Q: What kind of questions can I expect? Here are some examples of what to expect.

Kick us off and tell us a bit about yourself. It sounds like you have been through some traumatic experiences in your life. Please share your experiences with us. How did you get through that experience? What were some of the tools that helped you deal with the trauma? What role did religion and/or spirituality play to help you to cope? How did you maintain a positive attitude with everything that was going on? What does life look like now? Tell us about your book? When can we expect your book? Tell me where people can find you on social media if they want to know more about your story and would like to support your book or become part of the community.

Q: Do I have to sign any forms?

Yes, all guests are required to sign the release form. You will receive it via Adobe sign, which makes signing and returning super easy!

Q: How long will the recording take?

A 60 minutes timeslot will be scheduled for recording to ensure that we have some time to do a soundcheck, but the final episode will be roughly between 30 – 50 minutes.

Q: I have a business and social media platforms where I do good work and share positive content related to my story or expertise. May I share it on the podcast?

Of course! It is lovely to see the evidence of how people have utilized their experiences to create something beautiful and give back. I use my platforms to help people connect.

Q: As a survivor, what if I am unsure what to talk about during the recording?

Before the interview, we will do a screening process that will allow you to ask any questions that you may have. If there is a part of the story that is too emotional or difficult, you can decide at that point how much of it you want to share. Always remember that this is your story; there is no right and wrong way to tell it. You must own your experience.

Q: Is the interview in a question-and-answer format?

The question-and-answer format applies to both survivors and expert guests. When it comes to survivors, I provide a platform that will allow them the freedom to share their stories. Do not worry about being nervous or emotional; it comes with the territory. You can think of us as two friends catching up over a nice cup of coffee.

Q: Can I remain anonymous?

The aim of the show owns and share your story in an open manner that will inspire others. Remaining anonymous does not aid the purpose. However in you use a pen name for writing instead of using the real name, the pen name will be used.

Q: What happens if I get disconnected?

If your internet disconnects during the recording, do not worry. We will dial in and reconnect to the Riverside.fm studio.

Q: Where should I do the recording?

Find a quiet space where you are not likely to be interrupted. Smaller areas with lots of furniture, curtains, and pillows will also work well. Try to avoid places with lots of glass windows and doors.

Q: What kind of equipment do I need for recording?

You will need a laptop or desktop and laptop computer. Ensure that the latest version of Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome is installed on your computer. You will need a set of headphones or earbuds with a built-in microphone that you can plug into your device. You will need a stable internet connection. At the end of the recording, wait for the green button to confirm the upload from your computer has been completed.
